Gilgit-Baltistan is well known for its captivating beauty in the world. God has blessed it with ultimate beauty in the form of high peaks, lofty snowy mountains, waterfalls, picturesque riverside, fresh water lakes, green meadows, precious stones and variety of rare plants and flowers. The handicrafts of this region are almost as popular as its scenic beauty. It is said that a visit to Northern paradise of Pakistan divides your life into two parts – before and after Northern Areas visit. Indeed, once you visit this enchanted land, you are never quite the same again. Beautiful landscape, unique cultural heritage, historical palaces and rich biological diversity has given the Gilgit-Baltistan a competitive advantage in attracting tourists from all over the world.
Discovering Gilgit-Baltistan is a project of OEC, aimed to introduce the undiscovered sights, the hidden treasures, diversified culture of GB to the outside world by direct involvement of youth. Through this platform we want to give chance to youth to explore their talent by promoting the culture and persuasive beauty of GB which includes opening one region up in every month, so that twelve different areas could be recognized in detail in a year for all of us and the rest. It is our endeavor that we engage the young decision makers of tomorrow in the development decisions of today.

Competence: We need to float Positive view of one’s actions in domain specific areas including social, academic, cognitive, and vocational. Social competence pertains to interpersonal skills (e.g., conflict resolution). Cognitive competence pertains to cognitive abilities (e.g., decision making).Vocational competence involves work habits and career choice explorations. Confidence: An internal sense of overall positive self-worth and self efficacy of our youth has to be raised. OEC intends to extract the inner confidence by embarking all the members on a single ship. Connection: In this age when everybody is busy in his world, OEC wants to creat Positive bonds with people and institutions that are reflected in bidirectional exchanges between the individual. Caring and Compassion: Last but not the least a true sense of sympathy and empathy for others is our final target.
